CANDIE (Critical American National Defense Infrastructure Engineering) was founded by a Senior Transportation & Traffic Engineer who spent his career working for private consulting engineering companies serving State Departments of Transportation, Municipal governments and private developers, all over North America (USA & Canada) as well as MENA (Dubai, UAE).
Our Story
CANDIE (Critical American National Defense Infrastructure Engineering) was founded by a Senior Transportation & Traffic Engineer who spent his career working for private consulting engineering companies serving State Departments of Transportation, municipal governments and private developers, throughout the Western United States and Canada.
The firm was built on a different premise: that the best transportation engineering consulting comes from engineers who have worked on projects throughout North America (USA & Canada) and MENA (UAE & Qatar); therefore, have seen many different solutions to similar problems and can recommend multiple possible innovative solutions to different problems (not just what has "always been done here"). The principal at CANDIE has held lead traffic engineer, large project traffic team lead and project manager positions in many states, provinces and nations, on transportation and land development projects. That experience shapes how we scope projects, how we communicate findings, and how we deliver work that agencies can actually use.
Over 27 years, the founder's skills and experience has grown from working with small cities to large State Departments of Transportation, from small single building developments and master planned developments so large they build new cities (>10k homes), and on both standard design projects and innovation Design/Build projects.
